Han Gaozu original Temple

In 195 BC, Liu Bang, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, died of illness. His eldest son Liu Ying ascended the throne, that is, Emperor Xiaohui. Xiao Huiji and his ministers believed that the late emperor was born in a small family. He brought order out of chaos and calmed the world. He was the emperor Taizu of the Han Dynasty. He had the highest merit and was honored as the High Emperor. In order to commemorate the great achievements of Liu Bang, the Han Emperor, from generation to generation, Emperor Hui ordered the princes of all counties and countries to set up Gaozu temples and offer sacrifices at festivals and seasons. In the 5th year of emperor Xiaohui (190 BCE), Emperor Hui ordered Peigong to be the original Temple of Gaozu, the first of the original temples in the world, and visited his hometown to worship Gaozu. In 1996, it was rebuilt in the Seoul scenic area. The temple gate was inscribed by Zhao Puchu, a great contemporary calligrapher, and the main hall "Lepei hall" was inscribed by Wang Bingshi, chairman of Xuzhou Calligraphy Association. In the main hall, there are statues of Liu Bang, the great ancestor, and 23 emperors of the two Han Dynasties on both sides. In the courtyard, there are green pines and cypresses, and the steles of "the original Temple inscription of Han Gaozu" and "the world Liu's sacrifice to Han Gaozu" written by Liu Zongyuan, a great scholar of the Tang Dynasty, are newly carved. Today, the original Temple of emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty is a place where Liu's ancestors at home and abroad seek their roots and worship their ancestors. The Liubang Cultural Festival (May 18) is held every two years. The temple is full of people, with the sound of drums and incense.
